Trident Technical College’s Registered Nursing (RN) graduates achieved a 96.22% pass rate (229 out of 238 students) on the 2025 National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), significantly higher than the South Carolina average of 91.63% and the national average of 86.71%. The NCLEX is the standardized exam that nursing graduates must pass to become licensed nurses in the United States.
The college’s Practical Nursing (PN) graduates earned a 100% pass rate on the exam, with all 34 graduates attaining a perfect score. This performance far exceeds the South Carolina average of 91.51% and the national average of 86.6%. These results reflect the Nursing program’s strong academic foundation, rigorous clinical preparation and the dedication of both faculty and students.
“These outstanding outcomes demonstrate the quality of instruction and support we provide to our students,” says Dr. Vicky Wood, president of Trident Technical College. “They also reinforce the remarkable reputation of our Nursing program and the college. Most importantly, they represent hundreds of new nurses entering the workforce well-prepared to provide excellent care.”
