PURPOSE: To provide guidance for awarding degrees, diplomas and certificates at Trident
Technical College.
Students meeting graduation requirements for a Trident Technical College credential
must complete a Graduation Application in Self-Service or in the Registrar's Office.
A separate Graduation Application is required for each program of study (degree, diploma,
or certificate) the student intends to complete. The College Catalog outlines all
credentials awarded by Trident Technical College.
- DEGREE
Students completing graduation requirements for an associate degree program will be awarded a diploma indicating the name of the degree-granting program. The student’s official transcript will reflect the degree name and date of completion. - DIPLOMA
Students completing graduation requirements for a diploma program will be awarded a diploma indicating the name of the diploma program. The student's official transcript will reflect the diploma name and date of completion. - CERTIFICATE
Students completing graduation requirements for a certificate program will be awarded a diploma indicating the name of the certificate program. The student's official transcript will reflect the certificate name and date of completion. - AWARDING OF MULTIPLE MAJORS WITHIN THE SAME DEGREE
Students who complete multiple majors within a single degree-granting area, regardless of the academic year, will receive one diploma. Students completing programs in different degree-granting areas will receive a diploma for each. - AWARDING OF MULTIPLE DIPLOMA OR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
Students who meet requirements in multiple diploma or certificate programs will receive a diploma or certificate for each diploma or certificate program completed.
