Student Ambassadors

The Student Ambassadors program is designed to provide prospective students with accurate information and a picture of TTC from a current student's viewpoint. The Student Ambassadors provide information about TTC programs of study and student life on campus. All student ambassadors commit to one academic year, which includes Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

Student Ambassadors serve as Trident Technical College representatives at various college fairs, school tours and campus events, including:

  • Career Day for prospective students
  • Individual and group tours
  • Special community events
  • College and career fairs with our recruiters
  • High school visits and special events
  • Other campus and special events

In return for their service, Student Ambassadors receive:

  • A $500 scholarship for each semester you are an ambassador
  • Leadership experience for your resume and community service hours that count for student organizations
  • Official logo-wear and nametag to wear while representing TTC

What Some of Our Student Ambassadors Have Said About Their Experiences

Melissa Nubuya

“It has forced me to be sociable and more comfortable in large settings. I used to hate talking in front of anyone I didn't know but now I am more comfortable with public speaking. Being a student ambassador has challenged me to get out of my own way and not let fear stop me from doing the things that I want to do.” -Melissa Nubuya

 Nhi Tran

"Being a Student Ambassador has a lot of perks such as the $500 scholarship per semester, T-shirts, networking and cookouts. It also let me have a chance to help other prospective students who are early on their career path. I love the accomplished feeling when I succeed in helping a new student know more about their desired academic program." -Nhi Tran
